The staff via whatsapp was friendly and responsive to accommodate last min change request to my appointment. The place was clean and comfortable and the lady doctor was helpful to suggest what’s good for me based on my needs. I find the procedures reasonably priced as there were some promotional offers. I managed to get there by 5.30pm for a last consultation and finished my treatments by 7:30pm (clinic closes at 7pm) yet besides the lady doctor who performed the procedures, the lady assistant who helped to clean and prep my face and the male interpreter who stayed with her to explain in English to me step by step what she’s doing— were patient and thorough, I didn’t feel rushed at all. I feel very pampered. I’ll certainly come back again the next time I’m in Seoul!
2 months agoSkin Booster Pain Ranking: Least to Most Painful
Last updated:
Which skin booster hurts the most is one of the first questions people ask, especially if they are nervous about needles. This page ranks five common treatments from least to most painful, explains why some are felt more than others, and covers how discomfort is managed. The ranking is a general impression from clinical practice, not a measured score, and how much something hurts varies from person to person.
The short answer
From least to most painful, the usual order is CellREDM, Juvelook Skin, Rejuran HB Plus, Skin Botox, and the original Rejuran. The original Rejuran tends to hurt the most because it is delivered as many micro-injections without a built-in anesthetic. Skin Botox comes next because it is injected very shallowly.

The ranking at a glance
| Rank | Treatment | Why it tends to feel this way |
|---|---|---|
| 5 (least) | CellREDM | Usually described as not that bad |
| 4 | Juvelook Skin | Its hyaluronic acid tends to soften injection discomfort |
| 3 | Rejuran HB Plus | Lidocaine, a local anesthetic, is mixed into the formula |
| 2 | Skin Botox | Injected very shallowly, where it is felt more |
| 1 (most) | Original Rejuran | Many micro-injections into the dermis, with no built-in anesthetic |
Why some treatments hurt more than others
Three things explain most of the difference:
- Depth. Injections placed very shallowly in the skin tend to be felt more.
- Number of injection points. Treatments delivered as many small injections are felt with each point.
- What is in the formula. Lidocaine numbs the area, and hyaluronic acid can soften the sensation of the injection.
5. CellREDM
CellREDM is an ECM skin booster made by Hans Biomed from human acellular dermal matrix and injected into the dermis, aimed at texture and density. Of the five, it is the one usually described as least uncomfortable.
4. Juvelook Skin
Juvelook Skin belongs to the Juvelook line, which pairs hyaluronic acid with PDLLA. The hyaluronic acid component tends to soften injection discomfort, which puts it toward the gentler end of the ranking.
Compare it with Rejuran in how Rejuran and Juvelook differ.
3. Rejuran HB Plus
Rejuran HB Plus uses the Rejuran Healer base and adds hyaluronic acid and lidocaine. Because the anesthetic is built into the formula, it is usually more comfortable than the original Rejuran, although it is still delivered as many small injections.
2. Skin Botox
Skin Botox tends to be painful because it is injected quite shallowly, in the upper layers of the skin, where sensation is felt more sharply.
1. Original Rejuran
The original Rejuran is usually the most painful of the five. PN is delivered as many individual micro-injections into the dermis, and the original formula has no built-in anesthetic, so the repetition is what you feel.
See how the Rejuran types differ in Rejuran Healer, HB Plus, S and I.
How discomfort is managed
- Numbing cream is applied about 20 to 30 minutes before injection treatments such as Rejuran.
- Some formulas, such as Rejuran HB Plus, contain lidocaine.
- An automated injector device delivers each point more consistently than manual injection.
- You can tell the doctor at any point if something feels too strong.
After Rejuran, small raised bumps, mild redness and occasional light bruising are normal and typically settle within two to three days.
More pain does not mean better results
A treatment ranking higher for pain is not automatically more effective, and a gentler one is not automatically weaker. Each booster does a different job, so the right choice depends on your concern. Comfort is one factor to discuss with your doctor, not the deciding one.

What Our Customers Say
While getting ready for my wedding, I started looking into different skin treatments and ended up getting a skin booster injection along with Pico toning. My skin is naturally very thin and sensitive, so I was worried because it tends to react easily if a treatment doesn't suit me. But they carefully checked my skin condition first during the consultation, which made me feel a lot more comfortable. There was a little redness on the day of the treatment, but once I put on makeup the next day, it was barely noticeable. I was especially happy during my wedding photoshoot because my makeup went on so well My skin just looked healthy and fresh without needing heavy coverage!
