I had a great experience at this clinic! I came in for a Pico Laser treatment and a treatment to remove my freckles, and I also got Botox in two areas of my face. They gave me a discount, which was a really nice bonus. Everyone was incredibly kind, professional, and welcoming. One of the things I appreciated the most is that everyone speaks English, including the doctors, so I was able to fully understand the consultation, the treatments, and the recommendations without any language barrier. I highly recommend this clinic, especially for foreigners who don’t speak Korean but still want to have a treatment where they can communicate comfortably and understand everything clearly. I felt very well taken care of throughout the whole experience. I would definitely come back! ❤️
a month agoWinter Dry Skin: Which Treatment Fits Your Skin
Last updated:
Seoul winters are cold and dry, and many people notice their skin feels tight, looks dull or starts to flake from late autumn onward. Moisturizer helps, but if you are thinking about an in-clinic treatment, the options can be confusing. This guide sorts winter dryness into four common types and explains which treatment is usually considered for each.
The short answer
There is no single best treatment for dry skin in winter. The right option depends on what kind of dryness you have: surface flaking and roughness, dry and sensitive skin, dehydrated and dull skin, or dryness with a loss of firmness. Facials such as Hydrafacial or a soothing facial work on the skin's surface, while skin boosters such as Rejuran HB Plus or Juvelook work inside the skin. The doctor examines your skin and recommends the option that fits.
Why skin gets drier in winter
In winter, cold outdoor air, low humidity and wind combine with heated indoor air. Together they make it easier for the skin to lose moisture, so skin that feels fine in summer can turn tight, rough or flaky. How much this affects you varies, which is why the treatment that suits one person's winter skin may not suit another's.
Four kinds of winter dryness and the options to ask about
| Type of dryness | What you may notice | Option to ask about | How it helps |
|---|---|---|---|
| Surface flaking and roughness | Rough, flaky or dull surface | Hydrafacial | Cleansing, exfoliation, extraction and hydration in one appointment |
| Dry and sensitive skin | Redness, tightness, easily irritated skin | Sensitive Skin Soothing Facial | Gentle care designed to support comfort, hydration and the skin barrier |
| Dehydrated, dull skin | Skin looks tired and lacks glow | Rejuran HB Plus | PN supports the skin's repair and hydration; added hyaluronic acid adds hydration and glow |
| Dryness with loss of firmness | Dryness along with fine lines or less firm skin | Juvelook | Hyaluronic acid gives hydration; PDLLA gradually prompts collagen |
Many people have more than one of these at once. The table is a starting point for your consultation, not a self-diagnosis.
Facials vs skin boosters: what is the difference?
Facials work on the surface of the skin during the appointment itself. They are a fit when the main problem is flaking, buildup, roughness or a skin barrier that feels uncomfortable.
Skin boosters are injected into the skin. They work on the dermis, the layer beneath the surface, and their results build over time rather than all at once. They are a fit when dryness comes with dullness, a lack of glow or a loss of firmness.
The two can be combined, for example a facial for the surface and a skin booster for the deeper layer. Whether a combination suits you, and in what order, is decided during your consultation.
A closer look at each option
Hydrafacial
Hydrafacial combines cleansing, exfoliation, extraction and hydration in one appointment. It is considered for dull-looking, congested, uneven or dry skin, and whether it suits you depends on your skin's condition on the day. Short-term redness, sensitivity, tightness or dryness may occur afterward.

Sensitive Skin Soothing Facial
This gentler facial is designed for skin with redness, dryness, tightness or easy irritation. It focuses on gentle cleansing, hydration and calming care matched to what your skin can tolerate. If your skin is actively irritated, the doctor may adjust or delay treatment.

Rejuran HB Plus
Rejuran is built on PN (polynucleotide), purified from salmon or trout DNA, which supports the skin's own repair and hydration in the dermis. Rejuran HB Plus adds hyaluronic acid and lidocaine to the formula, adding hydration and glow, and is often described as the lower-pain Rejuran option. Rejuran's hydration and glow tend to appear relatively quickly, but they need more frequent upkeep.

Juvelook
Juvelook pairs non-crosslinked hyaluronic acid with PDLLA microparticles. The hyaluronic acid gives hydration, and the PDLLA gradually prompts the skin to build collagen. Because PDLLA is absorbed over roughly one to two years, the firming effect develops over months.

Timing treatment around winter plans
If you have year-end events, holidays or a flight home coming up, plan treatment in advance. Downtime differs by treatment and by person, so ask the doctor what to expect for the option you choose and leave enough time before important dates.
If you are visiting Seoul, see when to book treatment before your flight home.
Winter home care that supports treatment
In-clinic treatment works best alongside simple daily care:
- Cleanse gently and avoid harsh scrubbing
- Moisturize regularly, especially after washing
- Wear sunscreen in winter too
- Avoid over-exfoliating, which can leave dry skin more irritated
After treatment, follow the aftercare the doctor gives you for your specific procedure.

What Our Customers Say
The staff via whatsapp was friendly and responsive to accommodate last min change request to my appointment. The place was clean and comfortable and the lady doctor was helpful to suggest what’s good for me based on my needs. I find the procedures reasonably priced as there were some promotional offers. I managed to get there by 5.30pm for a last consultation and finished my treatments by 7:30pm (clinic closes at 7pm) yet besides the lady doctor who performed the procedures, the lady assistant who helped to clean and prep my face and the male interpreter who stayed with her to explain in English to me step by step what she’s doing— were patient and thorough, I didn’t feel rushed at all. I feel very pampered. I’ll certainly come back again the next time I’m in Seoul!
4 months agoWhile getting ready for my wedding, I started looking into different skin treatments and ended up getting a skin booster injection along with Pico toning. My skin is naturally very thin and sensitive, so I was worried because it tends to react easily if a treatment doesn't suit me. But they carefully checked my skin condition first during the consultation, which made me feel a lot more comfortable. There was a little redness on the day of the treatment, but once I put on makeup the next day, it was barely noticeable. I was especially happy during my wedding photoshoot because my makeup went on so well My skin just looked healthy and fresh without needing heavy coverage!
5 months agoLove this Clinic! My husband got lifting and his skin looks amazing now, plus they have some snaks and English translator for your consultation 🫶🏻.
11 months agoI recently visited Dami Clinic and had a really great experience! The staff were extremely kind and welcoming, which made me feel very comfortable from the beginning. The doctor was not only kind but also very professional, explaining everything clearly and carefully. I especially enjoyed my Sylfirm X treatment, which helps with redness and pores. The whole process was smooth. I would definitely recommend Dami Clinic to anyone looking for professional skin care with a warm and friendly atmosphere! 🌸
